夜吟

 

松濤隱隱奏琵琶，澹抹踈星夜色賖。

借問年年南北鴈，為誰迢遞一行斜。

"밤에 읊습니다"

 

소나무 숲으로 파도처럼 부는 바람

   은은히 뜯는 비파 소리이고

물 위에 비친 성근 별빛

   널리 펼쳐지는 밤의 빛깔입니다

 

해마다 남북으로 나는

   기러기에게 묻습니다

누구를 위해 그 멀리까지

   한 줄로 비스듬히 나는 건가요

The wind in the pine woods blowing like waves

   Sounds like a soft tune of pipa-lute.

The sparse starlight reflecting on the water

   Is the nightly colors spreading far and wide.

 

Allow me to ask the geese

   Traveling north and south year after year:

For whom are you flying aslant

   To and from such distant places?
