乍逢旋別後，脉脉只驚魂。

歸鴈音難定，寒燈燼更繁。

莫言多病苦，却恨滿心煩。

月白梅香夜，那堪獨掩門。

불현듯 만나고 바로 헤어진 다음

두근두근 영혼이 놀랐을 따름입니다

 

돌아가는 기러기 소리에 진정하기 어렵고;

차가운 등불 스러지니 더욱 혼란스럽습니다

 

잦은 병치레 힘들다고 말하지 않으려 합니다

마음 가득한 번뇌가 오히려 한스럽지요

 

달 밝고 매화 향기 피어나는 밤

어찌 참아 홀로 문을 걸 수 있나요

Since the sudden encounter and hasty parting,

My soul is startled into palpitation.

 

The honking of returning geese is unsettling;

The chill lamp fading adds more confusion.

 

I'd spare words about cruelties of nagging infirmities,

But I resent the agonies that fill my heart.

 

In a moonlit night of plum blossom fragrance,

How can I bear to bolt the gate and go into solitude?
