江城卽事

 

鐘聲疑是漢陽城，欲忘還勞曉夢成。

北里每聽臨市織，南阡時看遇春耕。

吟詩從古通身瘦，有酒如今萬事輕。

可愛樓前雙柳在，綠陰初散晚風清。

"강가 고을에서 생각나는 대로"

 

저 종소리 설마 한양에서

   들려 오는 건 아니겠지만

잊으려 했고 여전히 애를 쓰지만

   새벽녘 꾸는 꿈이 되었습니다

 

북쪽 마을에선 언제나

   저잣거리 베 짜는 소리를 들었고;

남쪽 밭고랑에선 때때로

   봄철 농사일을 보았습니다

 

시를 읊는다는 게 옛날부터

   몸 전체를 마르게 하는 일이지만;

술이 있으니 지금은

   모든 일이 가뿐합니다

 

누각 앞에는 예쁜

   한 쌍의 버드나무

녹음이 막 퍼져 나가니

   저녁 바람이 맑습니다

"An Impromptu Song at Riverville"

 

That sound of the bell, I doubt,

   Is coming from the capital city,

I wanted to forget, and still take pains to do,

   But it became a dream at daybreak.

 

At the village in the north, I always heard

   The sound of weaving at the marketplace;

By the furrows in the south, I often saw

    The scenes of spring farming.

 

Writing poems from long ago

   Has made the body wasted;

Having wine as I do now

   Makes all affairs light and nimble.

 

Before the pavilion is

   A pair of adorable willow trees—

As the green shade spreads,

   The evening wind is refreshing.
