新秋吟

 

數樹殘蟬際夕陽，始凉秋氣碧天長。

醉如遠別懷難定，事到追尋意更忙。

花不知名生小砌，禽無異語下空場。

看雲咫尺今宵月，願借清光抵故鄉。

"새 가을의 노래"

 

나무 몇 그루에 매미 소리 남은

   해 질 무렵

이제는 서늘해진 가을 바람

   멀리로 푸른 하늘

 

헤어져 먼 길 떠나듯 취해

   가슴을 진정시키기 어렵고;

찾아 쫓아온 듯 닥쳐오니

   마음이 더욱 바쁩니다

 

이름 모를 꽃

   작은 섬돌 곁에 피었고;

별다른 말 없는 새

   빈 뜰로 내려옵니다

 

구름을 보다 보니 바로 옆에

   오늘 저녁의 달이 걸렸습니다

그 맑은 빛을 빌려

   고향에 다다를 수 있기를…

"A Song of New Autumn"

 

On a few trees remain the cries of cicada

   In the setting sun.

The autumn wind, now turning chilly, blows

   From distant blue skies.

 

Tipsy like parting to a faraway place,

   My heart is hard to calm down;

Rushed as if being chased,

   My mind is frenzied.

 

A flower, the name I do not know,

   Blooms by a little stepping stone;

A bird, with no unusual words,

   Descends to the empty yard.

 

Looking at the clouds, I see right by them

   The moon of this night.

I wish to ride the clear

   Moon rays to reach my hometown.
