玉壺繫青絲，沽酒來何遲。

山花向我笑，正好銜杯時。

晚酌東窗下，流鶯復在茲。

春風與醉客，今日乃相宜。

"술을 기다리는데 오지를 않네"

 

옥 술병에 파란 끈을 묶어주면서

술을 받아오라 했는데 왜 이리 더딘가

 

산 꽃이 나를 향해 웃고 있으니

술잔 끌어 당기기 참 좋은 때야

 

저녁나절 동쪽 창문 아래서 술을 마시면

꾀꼬리 우짖으며 다시 이리로 올 터이고

 

봄바람과 술 취한 사람이

오늘은 참 잘 어울릴 것 같은데 말이네

"Waiting for Wine that Never Comes"

 

I tied a blue string on a jade jug to have wine fetched,

But why is the wine so sluggish in coming?

 

Flowers in the mountain are smiling at me,

And it must be a good time to lift the glass to my lips.

 

When I drink in the evening under the window in the east,

Warbling orioles would come back to be there,

 

And the springtime breeze and the tipsy soul

Should make a perfect match today.
