偶吟

 

黃昏獨坐竟何求，咫尺相思悵未休。

明月夜沉千古夢，好花春盡一年愁。

心非鐵石那能定，身在樊籠不自由。

歲色背人長倏忽，試看橋下水東流。

해 질 무렵 홀로 앉아

   도대체 무엇을 구할까요

가까이 있으면서도 서로 생각할 뿐

   안타까움이 그칠 줄 모릅니다

 

달 밝은 이 밤

   천 년의 꿈을 가라앉힐 수 있으면

꽃 아리따운 이 봄

   한 해의 시름을 모두 덜어 낼 수 있으면

 

쇠도 돌도 아닌 이 마음

   어찌 다잡을 수 있나요

새장에 갇힌 이 몸

   생각처럼 할 수 없습니다

 

세월이 묻어나는 얼굴빛 사람의 뜻을 거슬러

   늘 갑작스레 변하니

다리 아래를 내려다 봅니다

   물은 늘 동쪽으로, 동쪽으로 흐르네요

Being so close, but can only think of each other,

   My longing knows no end.

 

This night of bright moon may sink

   The dream through all ages;

This spring of beautiful flowers may exhaust

   The worries of the entire year.

 

This heart, neither iron nor rock,

   How can it be settled firmly?

This body, confined in a cage,

   Cannot follow the thoughts.

 

Traces of time on the complexion betrays me

   Always making sudden changes,

And I see the water under the bridge

   Flowing eastward, eastward.
