이제신,"돌아갈 때를 마주하며 읊는 즉흥시 臨化口占"

李濟臣（字彥遇，號陶丘，1510-1582）

 

〈臨化口占〉

 

望野黃兼綠，看雲白又玄。

陶翁知止處，只是為寒泉。

 

               注：異於李濟臣（字夢應，號清江，1536-1583）

 

이제신 (자는 언우, 호는 도구, 1510-1582)

 

"돌아갈 때를 마주하며 읊는 즉흥시"

 

들녘을 내다보니 노랑과 초록이 섞였고

구름을 바라보니 희었다 검었다 합니다

도자기 고개 이 늙은이가 멈춤을 알 곳은

오직 땅속 깊숙이 흐르는 차디찬 샘 뿐입니다

 

           주: 이 시를 쓴 도구 이제신은 같은 이름이며 거의 동시대를 산 청강 이제신 (1536-1583)과는 다른 사람입니다.

"Improvising, Facing the Change in Form"

 

Gazing far out, I find that yellow and green are mixed in the field;

Looking up, I see white and black alternating in the clouds.

The place where this old man of the pottery hill would learn to cease

Is only by the chill spring deep in the ground.

 

               Note: Please note that this poet and another poet roughly of his contemporary share exactly the same name  The dates of the other Yi Che-shin are 1536-1583.
