〈遣懷：見二毛，驚歎良久〉二首之二

 

墮地為君子，春秋三十齡。

世情人愧薄，公道月憐明。

浪跡宜莊器，幽棲怕漏名。

儒衣非異製，山鳥莫偏驚。

태어나면서부터 수양하는 사람이 되려 했고

그렇게 봄과 가을이 서른 번씩 지났습니다

 

세상은 박한 사람을 부끄러워하고

바른 길은 밝은 달을 어여삐 여깁니다

 

떠돌이의 발길은 장중한 그릇에 잘 담기고

조용한 삶은 이름이 알려지는 것을 염려합니다

 

선비의 옷은 유별나게 짓지 않으니

산새들아 제풀에 놀라지 말아다오

From the time I was born, I've tried to be a perfecting person,

And thirty springs and autumns have since passed.

 

The world is ashamed of harsh people;

Fair and just ways adore the bright moon.

 

Roamer's footsteps are properly embraced by the grandiose vessel;

Living quietly in seclusion, I worry that the name might be revealed.

 

Scholar's clothes are not made unusually,

Pray, birds in the mountain, not to be startled by yourselves.
