〈北山雜題〉

 

一、

欲試山人心，入門先醉奰。

了不見喜慍，始覺真高士。

 

二、

高巔不敢上，不是憚躋攀。

恐將山中眼，乍復望人寰。

 

三、

山花發幽谷，欲報山中春。

何曾管開落，多是定中人。

 

四、

山人不浪出，古徑蒼苔沒。

應恐紅塵人，欺我綠蘿月。

"북쪽 산에서 이것저것"

 

1.

산사람의 마음을 시험해 보고 싶으면

우선 거나하게 취해 들어서자마자 화를 내 보세요

달갑지도 언짢지도 않아 보이면

비로소 인품이 고결한 사람입니다

 

2.

높은 봉우리를 감히 오르지 못하는 것은

힘들게 오르는 걸 꺼리는 게 아닙니다

산속에 길이든 눈으로 갑자기

인간의 세상을 다시 보는 게 두려워서 입니다

 

3.

깊은 골짜기에 산 꽃이 피어

산 속에 봄이 왔음을 알리려 합니다

피고 지는 데 누가 관심을 가지나 보니

대부분 보통 사람들인 게 분명합니다

 

4.

산사람들은 무턱대고 나가지 않고

오래 된 길 푸른 이끼 속에 묻혀 삽니다

먼지 쌓인 세상 사람들이 두려운 게 분명 합니다

나를 업신여기며 푸른 담쟁이덩굴 위 달 보듯 합니다

"Miscellaneous Jottings in North Mountain"

 

1.

If you want to test the heart of the people in mountains

Get drunk first and act as if you were angry as you enter.

If they look neither pleased nor displeased,

You're meeting really worthy characters.

 

2.

That I dare not ascend high peaks

Is not that I am weary of crawling up.

I just worry that my eyes tamed by mountain scenes

May suddenly have to see the human domains again.

 

3.

Mountain flowers blooming in deep valleys

Wish to report the coming of spring in the mountain.

Who are concerned with the blooming and withering?

It is certain that they mostly are average people.

 

4.

People in the mountains do not indiscreetly go out,

And just live buried in the green moss on old paths.

They must be afraid of people from the world of red dust.

They despise me, as if I were the moon over the green ivy vines.
