送箕山丈席

 

幾番人事變歡悲，雨歇秋生動遠思。

詩成更欲題蕉葉，酒盡那堪贈柳枝。

孤帆渺渺江聲轉，匹馬蕭蕭野色遲。

眼斷雲山千萬疊，不堪回首讀書時。

죽서 박씨

 

"기산 스승님을 전송합니다"

 

사람의 일에서 몇 번이나

   기쁨이 슬픔으로 바뀌었나요

비가 그치고 가을이 시작되는데

   멀리 가실 곳을 생각합니다

 

시 한 수를 짓고 나니

   또 그걸 파초 잎에 쓰고 싶지만;

술이 떨어졌는데

   어찌 차마 잘 가시라고 버들가지를 드리나요

 

돛단배 한 척 아스라하면

   강물 소리만 출렁거리고;

말 한 필 히힝 우는 소리에

   들 빛이 어둑어둑 해지겠지요

 

천 겹 만 겹 구름 낀 산이

   제 눈길을 가로 막지만

그렇다고 차마 고개를 돌려

   선생님과 공부하던 때를 추억할 수는 없습니다

"Seeing off Master Gisan"

 

How many times, in human affairs,

   Joy has turned into sorrow?

Rain has ceased, autumn begins,

   And I think about the faraway place you're going.

 

A poem is completed, and again I want

   To inscribe it on a banana leaf;

Wine is running low, and how can I bear

   To present willow branches to bid you farewell?

 

The lone sail moves far and faint,

   And only the river gurgles;

A horse whinnies desolately,

   And the colors of the field turn dim.

 

My sight is cut off

   By clouded mountains of thousand layers,

But I am unable to turn my head

   To the time when I studied with you.
