〈秋夜寫竹自題〉二首

 

一、

䖝語凄凄夜共遲，

小樓客斷月明時。

滿庭忽看婆娑影，

寫就琅玕寄阿誰。

 

二、

自愛良宵獨不眠，

把毫臨紙意悠然。

盡無蹈襲詩無倣，

寄語吾人莫浪傳。

1.

찌르르찌르르 풀벌레 소리에

      밤도 함께 느릿한데

작은 누각에는 손님이 끊기고

      달만 밝은 시간입니다

 

언뜻 보니 정원 가득히

      너울너울 춤추는 그림자가 있어

그리고 보니 옥과 같은 대나무입니다

      이걸 누구에게 보내야 할까요

 

2.

이 아름다운 밤을 너무 아껴

      홀로 잠을 이루지 못합니다

붓을 잡고 종이를 마주하니

      마음이 아스라이 펼쳐집니다

 

전혀 남의 것을 베끼지 않고

      시에서도 모방이 없으니

누가 내게 말을 맡긴다 해도

      함부로 퍼뜨리지 말아야지요

"Painting Bamboo at an Autumn Night, and Inscribing on It by Myself" Two Poems

 

1.

Chirp, chirp, crickets cry,

        And the night slows down together.

It is the time only for the bright moon,

        After guests have all returned.

 

The shadow filling the courtyard

        Flashed dancing undulatingly.

Captured in a painting, it was the jade-colored bamboo.

        To whom shall I send this?

 

2.

Cherishing this beautiful night so much

        That I alone am unable to sleep.

As I grab a brush pen and face a paper,

        My thoughts extend freely, far and wide.

 

I do not follow anyone's footsteps,

        Nor does my poetry imitate any.

Even if someone entrust any words to me

        I shall not be spreading those heedlessly.
