〈夢筆生花三絕〉之一

 

歧義多層

 

夢筆生花歧義多，

追尋其解起煙波。

模棱不必唯無二，

詩論文思共切磋。

 

               注：〈夢筆生花〉出自李白年少時曾作筆上生花之奇夢之軼事，盖青蓮詩才為天賦之謂也，因而用以比詩思文才之富也。但其句可解為眾多另意，此僅舉三。如夢似之神筆才能寫出花，即花之難寫，此其一。能捕捉生花活氣之寫生本事，此其二。筆出文采如枝之生花，此其三。

"의미가 여럿입니다"

 

싯구 "몽필생화"는

      해석의 여지가 여럿입니다

그 뜻을 풀어내려 찾다 보면

      안개 속에서 파도가 입니다

애매한 구절에서 꼭 하나뿐이고

      둘은 없는 뜻을 찾을 건 없습니다

시에 대한 논의와 글에 대한 생각들을

      함께 가져다 갈고 닦으려 합니다

 

           주: "몽필생화"라는 말은 이태백이 어린 시절 붓에서 꽃이 피는 신기한 꿈을 꾸었다는 일화에서 나왔습니다. 청련거사 이태백의 재능을 하늘이 허락했다는 뜻이어서 시적인 생각과 문학적 재질이 풍부하다는 뜻을 비유적으로 표현합니다. 그러나 이 구절은 다르게 해석할 여지가 많은데, 여기서는 세 가지만 들겠습니다. 꿈을 꾸는 듯한 신기한 필력이라야 꽃을 그릴 수 있으니 꽃은 그려내기 어렵다는 뜻이 그 첫째입니다. 살아있는 꽃의 활력을 포착해낼 수 있는 능력이 그 둘째입니다. 붓에서 나오는 문학적 수식과 가지에서 피는 꽃이 서로 비유될 수 있다는 것이 그 세째입니다.

        Contains many possible readings.

Searching for ways to release the meanings,

        I see the waves rising in the misty fog.

There's no need to find for ambiguous phrases

        The one and only meaning.

Discussions on poetry and ideas for writing

        Shall be brought together to compare closely.

 

               Note: The phrase in question, 'dream'-'brush pen'-'bring to existence'-'flowers,' comes from an episode of Li Bai's marvelous childhood dream of flowers blooming from his brush pen, and thus it should mean that the talent he had in poetry was endowed by heaven. This phrase is used, therefore, as a figure of rich poetic ideas and talents. Yet this phrase can be interpreted into many different meanings.  Just try three here. First, only dream-like spirited brush can capture flowers. Thus, this phrase is about the difficulty of writing flowers. Second, the phrase can stand for the extraordinary ability of capturing the vitality of flowers. Third, for a branch to make flowers bloom is a figure of the brush to produce the literary beauty.
