花潭師！

梨花將要盛開了

就去天摩山朴淵瀑布遊玩一趟吧。

繚繞了就散開的水霧水花

戴在頭上做白花數千朶

在磐岩上

給你唱一曲玄鶴琴散調吧。

放進了九曲谷月光切片成熟的梨花酒

洗清清盞時

我把琴撥傳給老師吧。

我被一朶酒微微醉了

只穿布襪像花似的腳跳起舞

老師就吟一首詩

來和答吧。

花潭師！

梨花將要盛開了

就去天摩山朴淵瀑布遊玩一趟吧。

向內微彎的胸懷裏我這個歌

還唱給誰聽呢

玄鶴琴六弦已經斜斜排著。

老師，梨花要盛開了！

天黑前天摩山土路上

一起背著滿空山

往開豐的傍晚

一拖一拖回來吧

 

               注：黃真伊（十六世紀），朝鮮詩人，名妓。徐敬德（字可久，號花潭，1489-1546），朝鮮中期之巨儒。徐敬德，黃真伊，以及朴淵瀑布，常稱〈松都三絕〉，松都，高麗都城開城之別稱。〈蕊鄰〉為詩人之筆名，本無漢字，只有韓語音，譯者為之選耳。

Master Flower Pond!

Around the time when pear flowers are abloom,

Let us have a tour to Oak Pool Water Falls in the Sky-Scratching Mountain.

The purple mist of water falls, rising and getting dispersed—

Let me wear thousands of those white flowers in my head

On the flat rock there,

And I will play a solo music of dark-crane lute.

When pear-blossom wine, matured with the sliced moonlight on Nine Meanders,

Washes the clear cups,

I will let you, my master, have the plectrum.

I could get tipsy with the flower wine,

Rise up and dance in stocking feet.

A poem you chant would be

A perfect echo.

Around the time when pear flowers are abloom,

Let us have a tour to Oak Pool Water Falls in the Sky-Scratching Mountain.

This song in my heart, bending inwardly,

For whom else would I sing it?

And now six strings of dark-crane lute lie aslant before me.

Master, around the time when pear flowers are abloom!

Before the dirt road at the Sky-Scratching Mountain turns dark,

Trudging, carrying the Filled-Emptiness Mountain on the back,

Let us return together

To the evening in the Place of Abundance.

 

               Note: Hwang Chin-yi (16th century), a well-known courtesan and a poet of Cho-sōn.  Sō Kyōng-dōk (1489-1546), aka., Hwa-dam (lit. flower pond), was a renowned Confucian scholar in mid Cho-sōn period. Story has it that Hwang's attempt of flirtatious seduction of the master was unsuccessful because of his integrity. Sō Kyōng-dōk, Hwang Chin-yi, and the Oak Pool Water Falls are the most celebrated in the city of Kae-sōng.

화담선생님!

배꽃 필 즈음

천마산 박연폭포 한 번 놀러 가요.

피어 터치는 보라 물안개

머리에는 수천 개 흰 꽃을 달고

너럭바위 위에

거문고 산조를 불러 드릴게요.

구곡 달빛 썰어 묵힌 이화주(梨花酒)

맑은 잔을 씻을 때

선생님께 술대를 넘겨 드리지요.

한 송이 술에 아슴히 취해

꽃 같은 버선발 춤을 추며는

선생님 시조 한 수

화답 주셔요.

화담선생님!

배꽃 필 즈음

천마산 박연폭포 한 번 놀러 가요.

오긋한 가슴에 내 노래를

뉘 앞에 부를꼬,

거문고 여섯 줄은 빗겨 섰나니.

선생님 배꽃 필 즈음!

천마산 흙길 어둡기 전에

짊어진 만공산 털래털래

개풍의 저녁답을

함께 돌아와요.
