謾吟

 

悠悠世事日如空，寂寞乾坤豈有終。

染得烟光芳草綠，蒸成霞氣晚花紅。

蘇回舊病相逢後，惹起新愁暫別中。

情緒萬端如可織，遍教衣被亦難窮。

"속절없이 읊조립니다"

 

세상 일 많기도 한데

   내 하루는 허전합니다

하늘과 땅이 적막하다 해도

   어찌 끝남이 있겠습니까

 

안개 빛을 물들이는

   향기로운 푸른 풀;

노을에 피어 오르는

   저녁녘의 붉은 꽃

 

오랜 병에서 회복되어

   다시 만난 후

새 시름이 생겨

   잠시 헤어져 있는 중이니

 

만 갈래 마음을

   베틀에 걸 수 있다면

옷과 이불을 모두 짠다고 해도

   다 쓸 수는 없겠습니다

"Chanting Undirectedly"

 

There are so many things in this world

   But my days feel empty.

Heaven and earth are desolate,

   But how could there be an end.

 

Sweet-smelling green grass

   That tinges the misty shimmer;

Evening red flowers

   In the dusking afterglow.

 

After meeting again

   Having recovered from old infirmities,

We're in a fleeting rift

   Disturbed by new worries.

 

If I weave

   My thoughts in myriad threads,

Those won't be used up

   Even after making clothes and bedcovers.
