〈題伽倻琴〉

 

一陣歸鴻十二絃，

弄琴人去已千年。

如今但愛遺音妙，

仙意冥冥世不傳。

 

박순 (자는 화숙, 호는 사암, 1523-1589)

 

"가야금에 부쳐"

 

돌아가는 한 무리의 기러기와

      열 두 줄의 현

가야금을 타던 사람이 가고

      벌써 천 년

이제 그저 그가 남겨놓은

      소리를 아낄 뿐

신선의 뜻은 아득해

      세상에 전해지지 않습니다

A skein of returning geese

        And twelve strings.

A thousand years since the passing

        Of the one who played the zither.

Now I only cherish

        The sound left by him,

But the celestial intent has faded
