〈復用前韻寄姪趙瑚副使〉

 

爾輩何時會我堂，

團欒樽酒說江鄉。

晝携孤杖山如畫，

夜卷踈簾月滿床。

要把文章輔堯舜，

莫將言論効蘇張。

友朋可愛還堪畏，

山海胷襟不可量。

너희들과 언제 내 집에 모여

단란하게 술 한 통 놓고 강마을을 이야기하겠느냐

 

낮에 지팡이 하나만 들고 나서면 산이 그림 같고

밤에 성근 주렴을 걷으면 달빛이 침상을 채운다

 

글로는 요임금 순임금을 잘 돕도록 하고

말은 소진과 장의를 흉내내지 말아야 한다

 

친구들이 정다우면서 존경스러워

마음이 산처럼 바다같이 헤아릴 수 없으면 좋겠다

When will you all gather at my place in a happy circle

And talk about the village by the river with a keg of wine before us?

 

In daytime, I walk with just a cane and see the picturesque mountains;

At night, I roll up the bead curtain to find the moonlight filling the bed.

 

With writing, you shall assist Kings Yao and Shun;

In verbal argument, you shall not imitate Su Qin and Zhang Yi.

 

I hope that your friends are all lovely and respectable,

With the heart immeasurable as mountains and seas.
