月夜書懷

 

清虛夜色靜無聽，雨過遙山洗更青。

不飲如何心自醉，欲眠還似夢初醒。

離懷慣折橋邊柳，世事渾隨水上萍。

竚立欄頭聞曉漏，伴人明月滿空庭。

"달밤에 쓰는 가슴에 품은 생각"

 

맑고 깨끗한 밤의 정경

   고요해 아무 소리도 들리지 않고

먼 산 지나는 비에

   씻겨 더욱 푸릅니다

 

술을 마시지 않았는데 어떻게

   마음이 저절로 취하는지요;

잠을 자고 싶은데 여전히

   꿈에서 막 깬 듯합니다

 

이별의 한을 품고 살아서 습관처럼

   다리 옆 버드나무 가지를 꺾고;

이 세상 모든 일 되는 대로

   물 위의 부평초를 따라다닙니다

 

오래오래 난간 끝에 서서

   새벽 물시계 소리를 듣는데

밝은 달이 나를 따라다니는 듯

   빈 정원에 가득합니다

"Thoughts in My Heart Written at a Moonlit Night"

 

Scenes of the night, spotlessly clean,

   Are quiet with no sound to hear.

A remote mountain is greener

   Washed by a passing rain.

 

I did not drink, but how is

   My heart intoxicated by itself;

I want to sleep, but still feel

   As though I've just been awaken from a dream.

 

Regrets of separation lodged in the heart,

   I habitually pluck willow branches by the bridge;

Affairs of the world

   Randomly follow duckweeds on the water.

 

I stand still a long while at the edge of the balustrade,

   Listening to the water clock till the day breaks,

As the bright moon accompanying me

   Fills the empty courtyard.
