思故鄉

 

悵望鄉園日出東，山重水復夢難通。

樓頭杳杳高雲白，簾角迢迢落照紅。

暗淚枕邊和細雨，悲歌天末寄長風。

吹葱騎竹渾如昨，回憶翻成十載空。

（〈細雨〉敬修堂本作〈細兩〉，據手抄本改之。）

（第七句〈吹葱〉指用葱葉吹出音調之兒戲。劉克莊〈九月初十日值宿玉堂七絕〉有「幼吹蔥葉還堪聽，老畫葫蘆卻未工」句。）

"고향을 생각합니다"

 

쓸쓸히 고향 뜰을 바라보니

   해 뜨는 동쪽

겹겹 산 구비구비 물길

   꿈속에서도 넘고 건너기 어렵습니다

 

누각 위에서는

   높이 뜬 흰 구름처럼 아련하고

발 내린 방구석에서는

   떨어지는 붉은 해처럼 아득합니다

 

베갯머리에서 남몰래 흘리는 눈물로

   이슬비에 화답하고

하늘 끝에서 슬프게 부르는 노래

   멀리 부는 바람에 부칩니다

 

파 피리 불고 죽마 타던 날

   바로 엊그제 같은데

돌이켜 이리저리 기억하니

   십 년 세월이 텅 빈 듯합니다

"Thinking of Hometown"

 

Looking in melancholy toward the home garden

   It is in the east where the sun rises.

Layers of mountains and winding turns of rivers

   Are difficult to cross even in my dreams.

 

From out on the terrace, it is faint

   As white clouds up high;

From the curtained room, it is faraway

   As red glare of the setting sun.

 

On the pillow, I echo the drizzling rain

   With tears flowing inward;

To the sky's edge, entrust the trailing wind

   With a song sung in sorrow.

 

Blowing scallion reed, and riding bamboo horses

   Were just a day or two ago.

Looking back, flipping memories,

   The ten years feel empty.
