暮春望夜

 

明月娟娟始出東，一天如洗靜無風。

自疑寶鏡飛天上，誰信浮圖臥水中。

柳幕細垂烟縷碧，花房稀滴露珠紅。

縱教分寸來宵減，尚有精華滿太空。

죽서 박씨

 

"늦은 봄 보름 밤"

 

밝은 달 아름답게

   동쪽에서 떠 오르고

온 하늘 씻은 듯

   고요해 바람 한 점 없습니다

 

귀한 거울이 하늘 위를 나르는 건가

   나 스스로 의아해 하니

부도탑이 물 속에 누웠다고

   누가 믿겠습니까

 

버드나무 가는 가지 장막처럼 드리워

   안개 속에서 푸르스름하고

꽃 송이에는 드문드문

   붉은 이슬 방울이 맺힙니다

 

조금씩 조금씩

   이 밤이 끝나고 있다 해도

휘영청 밝은 빛은

   아직 하늘에 가득합니다

(넷째 구절은 "산 아래 흰 구름이 흰 비단처럼 걸렸고, 물 속 밝은 달은 부도탑처럼 누웠다" 라는 소동파의 싯구를 원용합니다.)

"A Full-Moon Night in Late Spring"

 

The bright moon, so elegant,

   Soars up from the east.

The whole sky looks washed clean,

   So calm with no wind.

 

I wonder if it is a treasured mirror

   Flying in the sky;

Who would believe that a stupa

   Could lie under the water.

 

Drooping like a drape, thin willow branches

   Are green strands in the mist;

Dripping now and then from blossoming flowers

   Are beads of red dew.

 

The night may be inching

   Toward the end,

But bright beams of moon light

   Still fill the great heavens.
