眼淚

如今已經是常數了

可是那

並沒把我的一切都吞掉

 

惡夢

現在也不稀罕了

全身一絲一絲

焚燒到血管的失眠之夜

也不能把我全部都吃掉

我跳舞呢

熊熊燃起的輪椅上

搖晃肩膀

噢，激烈呀

 

任何魔術

任何秘訣都沒有

只是什麼也

都未能把我破壞到底而已

 

任何地獄

或者辱罵

或者一抔黃土

或者那他媽的冷冰冰的

雨雪，或者刀刃般的

冰雹碎片

終究也都未能把我壓砸而已

我唱歌呢

噴火的輪椅

"Wheelchair Dance"

 

Tears

Have become a constant by now,

But did not

Gulp down the whole me.

 

Nightmares too

Are now a familiar occurrence.

Even in nights of insomnia, when my whole body

Burns strand by strand to blood vessels,

My all is not consumed altogether.

 

Look,

I dance.

On a wheelchair, hotly in flame,

I rock my shoulders,

Oh, ever so vigorously.

 

There's no magic

No mystique of any kind.

It's just that nothing

Could destroy me completely.

 

No hell,

No curse,

No grave of any kind,

No goddamn cold

Sleet, no broken hailstone,

Sharp as a blade, could recklessly crush me after all.

 

Look,

I sing,

Oh, ever so intensely.

The wheelchair belching fire,

The wheelchair dance.

               Note: Kang Wol-lae (1969- ), a dancer and singer in Korea, suffers from hemiplegia because of a car crash in 2000.  His activities after rehabilitation include wheelchair dance performance.

욕설과

저 더럽게 차가운

진눈깨비도, 칼날 같은

우박 조각들도

최후의 나를 짓부수지 못한 것뿐
