"At Sang-sa Lake"

 

When the mountain lowers its body and comes down to the water,

The lake empties itself to embrace the mountain.

With flowers bloom in the mountain, it is a youthful time in the water, too.

When the mountain flowers wither, the water, too, erases the memory.

 

               Note: Sang-sa Lake is located near the southern city of Sun-ch'ōn, Korea, known, among other things, for the clean, clear water and beautiful scenery.
