정철,"의월정 宜月亭"

鄭澈（字季涵，號松江，1536-1593）

 

〈宜月亭〉

 

白嶽連天起，城川入海遙。

年年芳草路，人渡夕陽橋。

 

               注：宜月亭原位於韓國咸興城川江上萬歲橋邊。萬歲橋相傳為朝鮮太祖李成桂所建，咸興市主要名勝之一。

"의월정"

 

흰 바위산이 하늘에 이어지듯 솟았고

성천강은 멀리까지 펼쳐진 바다로 흘러 들어갑니다

한 해 또 한 해 향긋한 풀길

사람들이 해 저무는 다리를 건너갑니다

 

           주: 의월정은 함흥 성천강의 만세교 옆에 있던 정자라고 합니다. 만세교는 조선 태조 이성계가 조선 군주들의 만수무강을 기원해 지은 이름이라 전해지는 함흥 주요 명승지의 하나입니다.

"A Pavilion Congenial with the Moon"

 

White Rocky Mountains stands, reaching the skies,

And the Sōng-ch'ōn River flows in to the sea stretched afar.

On the road fragrant with grass, year after year,

People cross the bridge where the sun is setting.

 

               Note: This pavilion was located by the Man-se Bridge, literally "ten-thousand year" bridge, on the Sōng-ch'ōn River in Ham-hūng, in present North Korea. The bridge is said to be so named by the founding king of Cho-sōn, as a blessing of longevity of succeeding kings.
