得罪上天的愛

也得到一夕相逢之路

親愛的，

我們的愛

到底是哪個天朝遺棄的承諾

飄浮千年，我們為何無法

在虛空中留下一枚腳印

A love that offends heaven

Is also granted a path for one night.

My dear,

Which heaven abandoned the vows of

Our love?

Why can't we—adrift for a thousand years—

Leave a single footprint in the empty sky?

 

               Note: The Double Seventh, the seventh day of the seventh moon, is a festivity that celebrates the reunion of Weaving Maid and Herd Boy, allowed only one night a year on this day. The separation is a punishment for the couple whose love kept them from doing their duty of weaving and herding.
