〈石竹花〉

 

世愛牧丹紅，栽培滿院中。

誰知荒草野，亦有好花叢。

色透村塘月，香傳隴樹風。

地偏公子少，嬌態屬田翁。

세상이 모두 모란이 붉다고 좋아해

뜨락 가득 심고 기르지만

 

거친 들 풀밭에도 예쁜 꽃이

무리 지어 있는 걸 누가 아나요

 

색깔은 마을 연못 속 달에 스미고

향기는 언덕 나무에서 바람을 타고 옵니다

 

외진 땅이라 귀공자가 적어서인지

아리따운 애교가 모두 이 시골노인 차지입니다

"Rainbow Pink"

 

The world prizes peonies for their brilliant red,

Cultivating them to fill up every courtyard.

 

Who knows that out in the wild grasslands,

Beautiful flowers also thrive in clusters.

 

Their colors tint the moon in the village pond;

Their scent drifts with the wind through hilltop trees.

 

Noble youth are rare in this remote place,

So, the charming look belongs entirely to this old rustic.
