說是新春，新的

其實一個也不長出來

都是去了很深很遠的某處

再回來面熟的，去年的

 

我們天天在小而哀傷的鍋子裏

倒下大米洗而再洗之間

請看，死了落到地上的

那細小的草葉上

綠生生的奇蹟回來了

 

蒼白的古木上

也積雪的曠野般櫻花一下子就開了

是誰的手撫摸的呢

去哪兒再回來才是春天呢

我也要去一下那兒再回來

"A Beautiful Place"

 

It is called springtime, but in fact

There is nothing new that springs up, not even one.

Everything is familiar, is an acquaintance of yesteryear,

Which has been to somewhere deep and far before returning.

 

While we wash and wash again day after day

The rice we pour into a small, sorrowful pot,

Behold, those thin grass leaves,

Which died and fell to the ground,

Have come back as a green, lively miracle.

 

On the pale old trees, too, cherry flowers bloomed

All at once like an open field covered with snow.

Whose hands patted on them?

Where does spring go and come back?

I, too, want to go there and come back to see springtime.

"아름다운 곳"

 

봄이라고 해서 사실은

새로 난 것 한 가지도 없다

어디인가 깊고 먼 곳을 다녀온

모두가 낯익은 작년 것들이다

 

우리가 날마다 작고 슬픈 밥솥에다

쌀을 씻어 헹구고 있는 사이

보아라, 죽어서 땅에 떨어진

저 가느다란 풀잎에

푸르고 생생한 기적이 돌아왔다

 

창백한 고목나무에도

일제히 눈펄 같은 벚꽃들이 피었다

누구의 손이 쓰다듬었을까

어디를 다녀와야 다시 봄이 될까

나도 그곳에 한번 다녀오고 싶다
