在老奶奶前緩步行走的老狗——

老奶奶停下了

老奶奶再起步

老狗也同時開始走

她倆那樣一直到最後維持曲線

左腳喊左腳

右腳喊右腳

像踏著雲彩

走在水上似地

"On the Reason Why Stars Rise Up Today"

 

An old dog walking slowly before an old granny—

The old granny stops,

And before the curve of the leash is pulled straight,

The old dog stops as well.

At this time when they wait quietly

Without even looking at each other,

Like letting the flowing water flow,

As the idea that's been there from the outset.

The old granny sets out,

And the dog begins to walk again.

The two of them maintain a curved line to the end.

Left foot to the left foot,

Right foot to the right foot,

Just like treading on the cloud

And walking on the water,

I try quietly to give marching commands.

There would be a lot of stars rising up today.

"오늘 별이 뜨는 이유에 대해"

 

늙은 할머니 앞에서 느리게 걷고 있는 늙은 개

할머니가 멈추고

줄의 곡선이 펴지기도 전에

늙은 개는 멈춰 선다

서로를 바라보지도 않고

가만히 기다리는 시간

흘러가는 시간을 흘러가게 그냥 두는 것

애초에 거기 있었던 마음처럼

할머니가 걸음을 떼자

늙은 개는 동시에 걷기 시작한다

둘은 그렇게 끝까지 곡선이다

왼발은 왼발

오른발은 오른발

구름을 밟고

물위를 걷듯

나는 조용히 구령을 붙여본다

오늘은 참 많은 별이 뜨겠구나
