〈贈僧〉

 

閉戶無端失一秋，

每憑孤夢到山樓。

逢僧說着霜林晩，

此日全勝夢裏遊。

"스님께 드립니다"

 

문을 걸어 잠가 두었는데

      까닭 없이 가을 하나를 잃었습니다

혼자 꿈을 꾸고는 늘

      산 속 누각으로 가지요

스님을 만나니 숲 속

      서리가 늦다고 하시네요

오늘 나들이는 꿈 속에서 보다

      훨씬 훌륭하겠습니다

I had the gate bolted,

        But for no reason I lost an autumn.

I go to the pavilion in the mountain

        Every time I dream a dream alone.

I run into you, reverend,

        And you say that frost is late in the woods.

The outing today will be

        Absolutely more splendid than the one in the dream.
