〈書懷〉

 

一病經旬苦，三春向夕終。

乾坤容落魄，詩酒廢過從。

民事村村急，煙花處處同。

徒然惜餘景，不寐到晨鍾。

 

               注：《久堂集》注明，是三月三十日作。

병 한 번 들어 열흘을 고생하고 나니

봄철 석 달이 저물어 가고 있습니다

 

하늘과 땅이 빠져버린 넋을 감싸주지만;

시와 술은 오가는 것마저 닫혔습니다

 

사람들은 농사일로 마을마을이 바쁘고

안개에 덮인 듯한 꽃들은 곳곳이 모두 같습니다

 

남아 있는 봄 경치를 공연히 아까워 하며

새벽종이 칠 때까지 잠을 이루지 못합니다

 

           주: 《구당집》은 이 작품이 삼월 그믐날의 작품이라고 적었습니다.

"Writing Thoughts in My Bosom"

 

Getting sick once, and having suffered from it for ten days,

The three months of spring are drawing near the end.

 

Heaven and earth embrace the dejected spirit;

Poetry and wine shut down intimate terms with me.

 

Farming work for people is pressing in every village;

Flowers that look shrouded in a haze are the same everywhere.

 

Grieving in vain for what remains for spring,

I am sleepless until the morning bell rings.

 

               Note: Poet's anthology notes that this poem was written on the last day of the third moon.
