〈春日午後〉

 

晨間鳥語悦身心，

午過春陽困睡沉。

遠眺憑欄詞客習，

無虞無欲我愔愔。

"봄날 오후"

 

이른 아침 새들의 이야기

      내 몸과 마음을 기쁘게 하는데

정오가 지나면서는 봄볕에

      나른해져 깊이 잠들기도 합니다

멀리까지 바라보기 위해 난간에 기대는 것은

      사(詞)를 짓는 시인의 습성

걱정도 없고 바라는 것도 없다면

      평온할 수 있을 텐데요

"A Spring Day Afternoon"

 

Birds palavering in early morning

        Please my body and my mind,

But springtime sunshine in the afternoon

        Makes me slack, lazy, and fall deeply asleep.

Leaning on the railing to look far out

        Is the practice of ci-poets.

Were it not for worries and wishes,

        I could be peacefully tranquil.
