崎嶇長路幾重山，一別將為隔歲顏。

曉壁寒燈懷益切，不知何日報平安。

구불구불 머나먼 길

   여러 겹 산마루

한 번 작별하고 나서

   해를 거르면 얼굴을 뵐 수 있나요

 

새벽녘 벽에 걸린 차가운 등불로

   그리움이 더욱 사무칩니다

어느 날에나 잘 있다는 소식이

   전해질지 알 길 없네요

The winding, long, long road

   And mountains of many layers—

Once we bid farewell,

   Would waiting till the next year bring us together?

 

A chill lamp hanging on the wall at daybreak
