我知道的六月躲藏在五月與七月間鬼鬼祟祟。這人們常常不知而過。六月裏紫色葛花指甲大小地開，銀魚也在河水建造居處。天空填滿的虛空升上更高，因而雲彩比梔子花還白。水聲整天單調乏味地自鳴著其名下山，而我因為世界像新鳥巢般凹陷平靜，想要像空房子那樣活著⋯⋯

"The Month of June"

 

The month of May I know sneaks in between the months of May and July and hide itself there, and people often pass through it without noticing it. In June, purple flowers of arrowroot small as fingernails bloom, and silver-white fish too build their abode in the river. The empty air is filled with the sky and soars up even higher, making the clouds whiter than gardenia blossoms. The sound of water, so bored all day long, flows down the mountain calling its own name, and I, for the world is hollow and quiet like a new bird nest, want to live like an empty house…

내가 아는 유월은 오월과 칠월 사이에 숨어 지내는데 사람들은 잘 모르고 그냥 지나간다. 유월에는 보라색 칡꽃이 손톱만 하게 피고 은어들도 강물에 집을 짓는다. 허공은 하늘로 가득해서 더 올라가 구름은 치자꽃보다 희다. 물소리가 종일 심심해서 제 이름을 부르며 산을 내려오고 세상이 새 둥지인 양 오목하고 조용하니까 나는 또 빈집처럼 살고 싶어서.....
