〈眨巴眼兒〉

 

五里霧中的林子裏睜了眼，煙霧就散去，片片樹葉也就開始閃爍了。積久的內傷似乎也痊癒了，擦過肺腑的風也爽快，河水靜靜地漣漪也不起地流去。在市井裏合了眼就上顛倒夢想中的夢裏路了。再走多少路漆黑黑暗才消歇呢。眨巴眼兒就是那樣。睜眼怎能是只在林子裏在破曉時分裏有的事呢。合眼也一樣，是限於市井裏的嗎。是在哪兒也睜眼合眼的，一天數千次。終身眨巴著眼兒活著。是一個冷酷無情的生命那樣明滅的光了。

"Blinking"

 

I opened my eyes in the woods, and the dense fog extending miles and miles cleared off.  Tree leaves, too, began to glitter. Perhaps, my old internal injuries were healed. The wind flitting by the lungs feels refreshing, and the river flows quietly even without ripples.  Closing my eyes in the marketplace, I am on a dreamy road in a topsy-turvy world of tenacity and delusion. How much more shall I walk before the inky darkness is lifted. Blinking the eyes is exactly the case in point. How could opening the eyes happen only in the woods and at daybreak? Could closing the eyes be limited to the market place? We open and close our eyes thousands of times a day, wherever we are. We live our entire life blinking. It is a light of a hardened heart glimmering like that.

"깜박이다"

 

숲에서 눈을 뜨니 오리무중의 안개가 걷히고 나무의 잎들이 반짝이기 시작했다. 오래된 내상內傷도 아물었는지 폐부를 스치는 바람이 상쾌하고 잔물결도 없이 강이 흐른다. 저잣거리에서 눈을 감으니 전도몽상顚倒夢想의 꿈길이다. 얼마를 걸어야 칠흑의 어둠이 걷힐까. 깜박이는 일이 그렇다. 눈을 뜨는 일이 어디 숲에서만이랴 새벽만의 일이랴. 눈을 감는 일 또한 저자에서만이랴. 어디에서든 하루에도 수천 번 눈을 뜨고 감는다. 종신終身토록 깜박이며 산다. 모진 목숨 하나가 그토록 명멸明滅하는 빛이다.
