신정,"왕소군의 한 昭君怨"

申晸（字寅伯，號汾厓，1628-1687）

 

〈昭君怨〉

 

羞對單于展翠蛾，

獨將哀怨奏琵琶。

陰風一夜天山雪，

看作春來上苑花。

 

신정 (자는 인백, 호는 분애, 1628-1687)

 

"왕소군의 한"

 

오랑캐 임금을 마주하며

      푸른 눈썹 예쁘게 펴는 것이 부끄러워

슬프고 한스러운 마음을

      홀로 비파에 담아 뜯습니다

밤새 으스스한 바람이 불어

      하늘만큼 높은 산에 날리는 눈을

봄이 오면 고향 땅 궁전 상림원에

      피는 꽃으로 알고 봅니다

 

           주: 왕소군은 한나라의 궁녀로 한나라가 흉노와의 화친정책으로 흉노의 선우에게 시집 보낸 비극적인 인물입니다. 선우가 죽은 후에도 한나라로 돌아오지 못하고, 흉노의 관습에 따라 선우의 지위를 계승한 그의 아들과 혼인해야 했습니다.

"Bitter Regrets of Lady Luminous"

 

Feeling ashamed to soften the face

        Before the chief of barbarians,

I put the grief and regret

        To the pipa-lute I pluck alone.

The snow on the mountains as high as the sky

        Blown by the chill wind through the night,

I look at as flowers blooming

        When spring comes to the Shanglin imperial garden.

 

               Note: Lady Luminous (Wang Zhaojun) was a lady in the Han palace, married off to the sovereign of Xongnu as a part of peace and amity agreement. She was not allowed come back to Han even after her husband's death, and ended up getting married to his son.
