〈微雨得中字〉

 

偶趁謝公屐，來遊釋子宮。

窓開幾點雨，花發一番風。

山色支頤外，溪聲倚枕中。

林禽驚午睡，緩步上臺東。

 

               注：首句〈謝公屐〉，為謝靈運登山時穿之木履。《宋書》〈謝靈運傳〉有如下說明：「尋山陟嶺，必造幽峻，巖嶂千重，莫不備盡。登躡常著木履，上山則去前齒，下山去其後齒。」

사령운의 나막신을 신고 우연히

부처님 모시는 궁전에 다니러 왔습니다

 

창을 여니 몇 개의 빗방울

꽃이 피었는데 한 바탕 바람

 

산 풍경은 턱 괸 채 내다보고

시냇물 소리를 베개에 기대어 듣습니다

 

수풀 속 새들이 낮잠을 깨워

느린 걸음으로 누대 동쪽을 오릅니다

 

           주: 첫 행의 사령운(385-433)의 나막신은 등산을 위해 신었던 나막신입니다. 《송서宋書》의 〈사령운전謝靈運傳〉에 기록되어 있습니다.

"Obtaining 'Middle' as the Rhyming Word, in the Drizzling Rain"

 

Wearing Master Xie clogs, I come

Fortuitously to saunter around Buddha's abode.

 

A few drops of rain when the window is open;

A round of wind as flowers bloom.

 

Scenes of the mountain I look out with the chin propped up by hand;

Sound of the brook I listen to leaning on a pillow.

 

Birds in the woods disturb my nap,

And I walk up slowly through the east side of the tower.

 

               Note: Master Xie's clogs in the first line refers to wooden shoes worn by Xie Lingyun (385-433) when climbing a mountain.  His biograph in the official history of the Song Dynasty, the Songshu, includes a brief discussion of the wooden shoes.
