我來得這麼遠啦

平原上又下雪

是很久以前的了

我曾說過

像那些一直飄下的雪花似地老下去

 

我知道我已經過河了

也知道我不能返回了

那條路上沒下雪沒下遲遲不歇的霪雨嗎

到了歲暮才生成的黃昏日子裏

我知道我的愛也就那樣流去了

再見，我的愛，請保重

"A Letter from a Distant River"

 

Wow, I came this far.

It snowed again out in the field,

And that was a long time ago,

I used to say,

I would get older like those snowflakes that kept falling.

 

I know I have crossed the river.

I am mindful that there's no returning.

Did it not snow, not rain tediously dragging without ceasing?

Those twilight evenings formed as the year neared the end,

I know my love too flowed away like that.

Good bye, my love, I wish you the very best.

여기까지 왔구나

다시 들녘에 눈 내리고

옛날이었는데

저 눈발처럼 늙어가겠다고

그랬었는데

 

강을 건넜다는 것을 안다

되돌릴 수 없다는 것도 안다

그 길에 눈 나리고 궂은 비 뿌리지 않았을까

한 해가 저물고 이루는 황혼의 날들

내 사랑도 그렇게 흘러갔다는 것을 안다

안녕 내 사랑, 부디 잘 있어라
