半月到狗熊的胸膛去了

 

滿月要去你那兒了

 

新月給寶寶來抓

殘月放在老人前額

 

半月徘徊在林子裏在樹間通宵照耀

 

滿月照到我心裏的河

從一流流河水起心願

 

依依楊柳在明亮江堤上整一整鬍鬚

 

我呢，要去看沒看到這個秋天而離去的人

剩下的時間裏我要分一天或者一個月給他

暫時也好要跟他在一起

到如今我不能趾高氣揚地說乾脆利落地分一年給他

他也會搖手謝絕吧

 

我們的夜晚裏升出第五個月亮

樹林上夜海上飄舞的天燈一千

"The Fifth Moon"

 

A half moon went to bear's chest.

 

Let a full moon go to you.

 

Give a waxing crescent moon to a baby to grab;

Put a waning crescent moon on an old man's forehead.

 

The half moon saunters through the woods, and shines between trees all night.

 

The full moon shines on the river in my heart,

Raising wishes from every current.

 

Drooping willows stroke the beard on the bright dike along the river.

 

I am going to go see a friend who left and didn't get to see this autumn.

I will take a day or a month from my remaining time to share with him,

And be with him even for a while.

Now I can no longer hold my head high and say with no hesitation that I will give a year.

He, too, would decline it, courteously waving his hands.

 

The fifth moon rises in our night:

A thousand sky lanterns soaring up over the woods, over the nighttime sea.

 반달은 곰의 가슴으로 갔다

 

 보름달은 너에게 가라

 

 초승달은 아가에게 쥐여 주고

 그믐달은 노인의 이마 위에 올린다

 

 반달은 숲을 돌아다니며 나무와 나무 사이에서 밤새 빛나고

 

 보름달은 내 마음의 강을 비추어

 물줄기마다 소망이 일고

 

 수양버들은 밝은 강둑에서 수염을 매만진다

 

 나는 이 가을을 못보고 떠난 분에게 가고자 한다

 남아 있는 내 시간에서 하루 혹은 한 달을 나눠드리고

 잠시나마 함께 있고 싶다

 이제는 일 년을 뚝 떼어 드리겠다고 호기를 부릴 수 없네

 그분도 손사레치며 사양을 하리라

 

 우리의 밤에는 다섯 번째 달이 뜬다

 숲과 밤바다 위로 오르는 천 개의 풍등
