有一天我忽地看著夜間天空想
直到如今我數過的星星有多少
活著的歲月裏我遇見了多少人
那樣進入我裏面來的人有多少
進入的多少人能到我最深處了
我也進入你裏到達了最深處嗎
由無所謂的心情數數人的夜晚
流去的時間裏我們失去了自己
在心塊裏某一角落的空位一席
不能回來飄浮在邊緣的喪魂啊
能變華麗就華麗到頂的生命啊
絕望裏閃亮的星星啊

"Counting Stars"
One day, without being nudged at all, I muse on the night sky.
How many stars have I counted by now?
How many people have I met in my life?
How many of them have come inside of me?
Of those who have, how many reached the limits in me?
Did I too get to go into you and reached your limits as well?
A night when I count the people, with the heart that turned vain.
A place left unoccupied in a corner of our hearts,
Having lost ourselves in the middle of the fleeting time.
Oh, my pitiable soul, adrift on the peripheries, being unable to return!
Oh, my life, which has become the gaudiest to the utmost possibilities!
Oh, stars, twinkling in hopelessness!

어느날 문득, 밤하늘을 보며 생각한다
지금껏 내가 헤아린 별은 얼마나 될까
사는 동안 만난 사람들은 얼마나 될까
그렇게 내 안으로 들어온 사람들은 얼마나 될까
들어와 나의 끝에 이른 사람은 얼마나 될까
나도 그대 안에 들어 그대의 끝에 이르긴 했을까
부질없는 마음이 되어 사람들을 헤아리는 밤
흐르는 시간 중에 우리는 우리를 잃어버려
마음 어느 구석 비어 있는 한 자리
돌아오지 못하고 변방을 떠도는 가여운 넋이여
화려해질 대로 화려해진 목숨이여
속절없이 빛나는 별들이여
