〈詩論，親吻〉

 

據說女人親吻每次都像那是這一生最後一次的親吻似地

緊緊閉著眼睛，如死亡般滑進情人的嘴裏

 

男人時時開眼睛

睫毛的顫動啊，垂下的髮毛啊

風景的變化呀，甚至體溫變化跳舞似的曲線都細細查對

 

哪一邊是詩人呢

 

讀者會站在女人那邊

詩人當然要站在男人那邊

 

投入到底，那兒沒有詩

把燃燒的木柴翻過來不能不讀火焰的背面的男人啊

那可憐的詩人啊

 

如果你是一直到親吻完畢一次也不睜開眼睛的詩人

你應該立刻移到讀者那邊坐下來

可是詩人的腳底連完全燃燒後的一抔灰燼也不隨便踩上

"On Kiss, a Discourse on Poetry"

 

They say, women, every time they kiss, as if it would be the last kiss of their life,

Close their eyes tightly, and slide into the lover's mouth just like death;

 

Men open their eyes now and then, scrupulously check

The vibration of the eyelashes, the hair that droops down,

The changes in the surrounding scenes, and even the dancing graph of the body temperature.

 

Which would be the poet?

 

Readers will side with women;

Poets will certainly be standing with men.

 

There is no poetry at the bottom of concentrated immersion.

You men, who have to flip burning fire wood and to see the other side of the flame!

You pitiable poets!

 

If you are a poet who never opens the eyes, not even once, until the kiss is over,

You shall move right away to the other side and sit with readers.

Poet's feet never recklessly tread even on a handful of ashes from a complete combustion.

"詩論, 입맞춤"

 

여자는 키스할 때마다 그것이 이 生의 마지막 입맞춤인 듯

눈을 꼭 감고, 애인의 입 속으로 죽음처럼 미끄러져 들어간다는데

 

남자는 군데군데 눈을 떠

속눈썹의 떨림이며 흘러내린 머리카락이며

풍경의 변화와 춤추는 체온의 곡선까지 꼼꼼히 체크한다고 하니

 

누가 시인일까

 

독자는 여자 편에 설 것이고

시인은 당연히 남자 편에 설 것이다

 

몰입의 바닥에는 시가 없다

불타는 장작을 뒤집어 불길의 이면을 읽어야 하는 남자여

불쌍한 시인이여

 

키스가 끝날 때까지 한 번도 눈을 뜨지 않은 시인이거든

그대 당장 독자의 자리로 옮겨 앉아야 하리

그러나 시인의 발바닥은 완전 연소의 재 한 줌도 함부로 밟지 않는다
