年將而立識，期許續終身。

老喜多觀月，常愁少踏春。

相逢加福水，別後待音塵。

我作天涯客，兄為海角鄰。

明年回寶島，先過酒三巡。

거의 서른, 일어설 나이가 되어가던 무렵에 만나

평생 계속해서 기대하고 받아들입니다

 

달을 많이 보는 걸 늙어가며 좋아하게 되었지만

푸른 풀을 자주 밟지 못한 게 늘 아쉽습니다

 

서로 만나면 복된 물을 더 따라주고

헤어진 후에는 소식을 기다리지요

 

나는 하늘 끝의 떠돌이

형은 바다 한 모서리의 이웃

 

내년에는 소중한 섬으로 돌아가서

우선 술 세 순배를 거쳐야겠지요

After we part, we wait for voices and letters.

 

I am a floating traveler at sky's edge;

You are a neighbor in a remote corner of the sea.

 

When I return next year to the treasured island,

We shall have three rounds of drinks before anything else.
