Wind blows, changing its own names.

Yesterday's shadow wears today's light;

The riverbed, lying prone like pebbles,

Starts to flaunt the depth of its own body,

After a round of rain passes.

 

Trash, which was hiding to dodge flames,

Sides with sunbeams as the day breaks.

A dust-covered mirror shines, faking clean for a few strokes of fingermarks on it.

The face has not changed, and only its expression has.

 

Pointing to a torch, which has been burning for so long, they

Shout out at the forefront, before anyone, why are you burning only now.

 

But the chapped backs of the hands know

Who endured the winter,

And who is wearing a borrowed spring.

바람은 이름을 바꾸며 분다

어제의 그림자는 오늘의 빛을 입고

돌처럼 엎드려 있던 강바닥이

비 한 번 지나가자

제 몸의 깊이를 자랑하기 시작한다

 

불꽃을 피해 숨던 쓰레기들이

새벽이 오자 햇살의 편을 든다

먼지 쌓인 거울은 손자국 몇 줄로 닦인 척 빛나고

얼굴은 바뀌지 않았는데 표정만 바뀌었다

 

오래 타오르던 등불을 가리키며 그들은

맨먼저 앞장서 소리친다, 왜 이제 켜졌느냐고

 

그러나 갈라진 손등들은 알고 있다

누가 겨울을 견뎠는지

누가 봄을 빌려 입었는지
