〈咏懷〉
虞時二女竹，秦日大夫松。
縱有榮枯異，寧為冷熱容。
이석형 (자는 백옥, 호는 저헌, 1415-1477)
"마음을 풀어냅니다"
순임금 때 두 왕비의 눈물이 어린 대나무도 있고
진나라 시절 대부가 된 소나무도 있지요
성하고 쇠하는 게 다르다고 해도
찬 것 뜨거운 것을 모두 받아들입니다
주: 첫 구절은 순임금이 죽고 두 왕비가 흘린 눈을 자국이 남았다는 대나무를 이르고, 둘째 구절은 진시황이 태산에서 내려왔을 때 밀어닥친 폭풍우를 그 아래서 피했다 하여 대부의 지위에 오른 소나무 다섯 그루를 말합니다.

Bamboo trees stained by tears of two ladies in Emperor Shun's time;
Pine trees conferred senior official status in the days of Qin—
Even if there were differences of rises and falls,
I would rather embrace all, cold or hot.
Notes: Line #1 refers to spotted bamboo trees. The spots are said to be tear stains of two consorts when Emperor Shun died. Line #2 alludes to the story of pine trees, to which the status of senior officials was conferred for the first emperor of Qin could dodge a heavy rain under them.
