〈孝阡夜作〉

 

殘燈明發淚汍瀾，

霜露淒淒曉夜寒。

昨日孩提今已老，

何時言笑更承歡。

泉臺不隔幽明故，

風樹無回歲月闌。

來世願將諸弟妹，

斑衣繞膝樂團圞。

"부모님 잠드신 효천에서 밤에 짓습니다"

 

등불 스러져 가고 날 밝아오는 지금

         눈물이 물결처럼 흐르고

서리 이슬 처량하게 내려

         어둑어둑한 새벽이 싸늘합니다

 

어제의 어린아이가

         오늘 이미 늙어버렸으니

언제 웃고 이야기 하며

         다시 기쁘게 해 드리겠습니까

 

묫자리에서는 저승과 이승의

         이치가 나뉘지 않고

바람 속 나무는 해와 달을

         막아 돌이킬 수 없습니다

 

다음 세상에서는

         형제 자매 모두가

색동옷 입고 부모님 무릎에 둘러앉아

         단란한 즐거움 누리기를 바랍니다

In the dim light of a dying lamp as the day breaks

            Tears flow down unstoppably.

Frost and dew fall desolately

            Making this dark of dawn chilly.

 

A child of yesterday

            Is already an old man;

When can I talk and laugh again

            To bring joy to my parent?

 

In the grave site the reasons of

            This and the other lives are not separable;

The woods in the wind cannot stop

            The sun and the moon and make them turn around.

 

I pray that in the next life

            All my brothers and sisters

Wear colorful children's clothes

            And make a happy circle around the knees of my parents.
