〈山高水長圖〉之畫題

 

聳峻矗䒶表，

浩瀚周地軸。

溪雲起淡淡，

松風吹謖謖。

樂志于其間，

徜徉豈受縛。

兩雙青草鞋，

幾間黃茅屋。

笑看樹重重，

愛茲峯兀兀。

山高共水長，

鶴舞與猿伏。

可以立腳根，

方此對衡麓。

 

            注：首句䒶，古天字。末句衡麓，官名，亦作衡鹿，守護山林之官。

"산고수장도에 붙입니다"

 

늠름하게 우뚝 서 하늘 밖까지 치솟아 올라

끝없이 펼쳐진 주위 들판의 축입니다

 

시냇물에서는 구름이 아련히 피어 오르고

소나무 숲에서 바람이 솔솔 불어옵니다

 

이 속에서 즐거움을 찾겠다는 마음으로

한가로이 거니는데 어떻게 묶일 수가 있나요

 

푸른 풀로 삼은 미투리 두어 켤레

누런 초가지붕 아래 방 몇 칸

 

겹겹 둘러싼 나무숲을 웃으며 바라보고

흔들림 없는 봉우리에 마음을 줍니다

 

산은 높고 물은 길고

학은 춤추고 원숭이는 숨습니다

 

나도 흔들림 없이 우뚝 설 수 있겠습니다

이제 바로 여기서 이 산과 물을 지킵니다

"Inscribed on 'High Mountains and Long Waters' Painting"

 

Towering high, reaching straight up beyond the sky,

It is the pillar on the land around, stretching endlessly.

 

Pale clouds rise from streams;

Whistling wind blows through pine woods.

 

I set my mind on finding pleasure amidst these,

How can I let my free roaming bound up?

 

Green straw sandals, just a couple of pairs;

A yellow thatched cottage, of only a few poles.

 

I look with smile at layers of trees that encircle me;

I am enamored by the motionless peaks.

 

Mountains are high, waters are long;

Cranes dance, and monkeys have hidden out.

 

I can make a firm foothold, now and right here,

To keep watching the mountains and rivers.
