夜成

 

月斜階樹轉空閨，近水茅簷向晚棲。

鄰笛更添搖落意，夜烏何處曲中啼。

"밤에 지은 시"

 

달이 계단 옆 나무로 기울었다가

   텅 빈 규방을 맴돌더니

물가 초가집 추녀끝에서

   저녁 보금자리를 찾습니다

 

이웃의 피리소리

   흔들린 마음을 더욱 휘젓는데

밤 까마귀 어디선가

   그 곡조에 맞춰 웁니다

"Composed at Night"

 

The moon sinks to a tree by the stairs,

   Revolves around the desolate inner chamber,

And seeks a nest for the night

   By the eaves of a thatched cottage near the water.

 

The sound of a flute from the neighborhood

   Further troubles the disturbed mind,

And a nightly owl cries

   To the tune from somewhere.
