看來，我來得太遠了

我都忘了向花請安

給樹頂的承諾也擱在一邊了

穿過那土壤上去

據說是有生命的在水裏

游玩，在空中飛翔的

神話世界

可是我跟那些翻臉似地，來得太深了

呼吸著混凝土般固結的黑暗

即使要把身裂成十條百條

為了擠出大地乾下去的奶

我得再繼續走長遠的路了

堅韌地把根一段接一段地推展下去了

It looks I have come too far,

Having forgotten to inquire after the flowers,

Having set aside the promise with the treetop.

I heard, if I wade through the dirt and go up,

I could reach the world of myth

Where living beings swim

In the water and fly in the sky,

But I turned my back on them and came down too deep.

Breathing the darkness hardened as concrete,

I could keep on going a long time, trying

To squeeze the milk out of the land, already dried up,

Even by splitting my body into tens and hundreds of directions.

I must tenaciously endure to extend roots from roots.

 나는 너무 멀리 왔구나

 꽃의 안부도 잊은 채

 우듬지의 약속도 버려둔 채

 저 흙을 뚫고 올라가면

 목숨 있는 것들이 물속을

 헤엄치고 하늘을 날아다니는

 신화의 세계가 있다는데

 나는 등을 돌려 너무 깊이 왔구나

 콘크리트처럼 굳어진 어둠으로 호흡하며

 열 갈래 백 갈래 몸을 찢어서라도

 대지의 마른 젖을 짜내겠다고

 나는 다시 오래 가겠구나

 뿌리의 뿌리를 질기게 뻗어가겠구나
