〈讀書二首〉

 

一、

霏微曉雨濕芸床，

簾外寒梅暗送香。

讀罷看山聊自樂，

古人心事一般長。

 

二、

病卧江湖獨晤言，

美人迢遞隔雲端。

如今謝却人間事，

留與功名寄少年。

"독서" 두 수

 

1.

흩뿌리는 새벽비가

      책상을 적시고

주렴 밖 차가운 매화는

      넌지시 향기를 보내옵니다

독서를 멈추고 산을 바라보며

      잠시 홀로 즐기려 하는데

옛 사람들 품었던 걱정이

      모두 길게 이어집니다

 

2.

강과 호수 사이에 몸져누워

      혼자 있으면서도 만나 이야기 나누는

아름다운 사람은 아득히

      구름 끝에 떨어져 있네요

이제 사람들 사이의 일은

      사양하고 물리쳤으니

공을 세우고 이름을 날리려는 생각이

      남았으면 젊은 사람들에게 보내야겠지요

"Two Poems on Reading Books"

       

1.

A sprinkling rain at dawn

        Dampens the desk,

And the chill plum blossoms outside the bead curtain 

        Send in a whiff of their scent.

I stop reading, look at the mountain,

        And enjoy the pleasure a while,

But extended so long are all the worries

        In the mind of ancient writers.

 

2.

Lying ill alone among rivers and lakes,

        I still meet and chat

With charming people faraway,

        Separated at the ends of the cloud.

Now that I have renounced

        Affairs among people,

Remaining matters of merits and reputations

        Shall be sent to young people.
