〈花笑檻前聲未聽〉

 

驛路兵聲忍更聆，

芳魂化作艶花形。

軒前一笑渾無語，

恰似沈香睡未醒。

 

하진 (자는 진백, 호는 태계, 1597-1658)

 

"창틀 앞에서 꽃이 웃는데 웃음소리는 듣지 못했습니다"

 

역마 길 위 군인들 소리를

      참아내며 또 듣는데

아름다운 영혼이

      매력적인 꽃의 모습이 되었습니다

창문 앞에서 한 마디 말도 없이

      살포시 웃는 웃음에

마치 향기에 취해

      잠에서 깨지 못하는 기분입니다.

The sound of army soldiers on the post horse road,

        I persevere to hear it.

A beautiful soul has been transformed

        Into a charming look.

The gentle smile by the window

        Without even a single word,

Makes me feel as though I am imbued with its aroma

        And unable to wake up from sleep.
