半賓

 

〈惜秋〉

 

忽至怎知先探尋，

驟離無奈獨傷心。

風聲葉色閂詩裏，

硬説秋興可續吟。

（甲辰立冬後數日）

 

반빈

 

"가는 가을을 아쉬워 합니다"

 

갑자기 왔는데 어떻게 알고

      미리 찾아 나설 수 있었겠어요

홀연히 떠나니 어쩔 수 없지요

      홀로 마음 아파할 뿐입니다

바람 소리 이파리 색깔을

      시 속에 잠가 두고

가을의 떨림을 계속 읊을 수 있다고

      억지라도 써야겠어요

"Reluctance to Part with Autumn"

 

It arrived in an instance, and how was I supposed to know

        That I could have gone out earlier to search for it?

It leaves all of a sudden, and what can I do about it,

        Except for feeling hurt alone?

The songs of the wind and the colors of foliage,

        I shall lock them in my poems,

And insist doggedly that I could continue

        To chant the vibrance of autumn.
